Technical Specialist - IBM Content Manager On Demand
Job Description
Responsibilities will include:
• System/report setup, including applications, application groups, folders, and cabinets
• System security setup for users and groups, including integration with Active Directory
• Assist in capacity planning for both the initial implementation and on an ongoing basis
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of functional and technical requirements of CMOD
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of server components and their function for the overall system/environment
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of storage requirements and configurations
• Answer end-user and Business Analyst questions
Desired Profle
We are currently seeking a Technical Consultant to help implement and manage IBM Content Manager on Demand (CMOD) and migrate the current reporting systems to this new platform. Person should have at least 3 years experience in mainframe electronic report management solutions, with knowledge and experience in IBM CMOD a plus. This position also requires excellent communication skills, as this person will be working with individuals at all levels of the organization to ensure that the migration is effectively managed and also will be the liaison between the Business Analysts and the operations staff.
Experience Required
Technical Requirements:
• Experience/strong knowledge of mainframe Report Management tools and techniques
• Familiarity with various report output formats, including Xerox Metacode, line data, PCL, and ASCII
• SQL Server Database administration knowledge and experience a plus
• Knowledge of mainframe CICS, Unix and Microsoft Windows environments
