As a Senior Engineer for diesel engine aftertreatment, you will lead DeNOx hardware and software integration with engines and vehicles to meet off road final Tier IV emission legislations. More specifically you will:
* Work with engine and aftertreatment engineers to decompose high level system requirements into component functional specifications and validate component performance for production implementation. You will explore system level trade-offs and develop optimal emission solutions.
* Lead development activities with focus on engine dyno test methods, design of experiments, and data analyses. You will drive for best practices and common approaches among development engineers.
* Support aftertreatment software and control strategy development by working closely with the JDPS electronic control team. You will lead base calibration efforts of DeNOx control features. You will develop calibration guidelines and parameter limits to be applied to different engine-aftertreatment hardware sets. Working with other development engineers, you are enabled to explore new control and diagnostic concepts in virtual and test environments before they are implemented for production release.
* Develop methodologies and acceptance criteria to verify DeNOx calibration is compliance with requirements. You will troubleshoot hardware and control issues as well as implementing corrective actions. You will work with product validation and verification team to support vehicle demonstration programs, durability proof-out, and fleet trials.
We need someone with excellent communication skills, leadership potential, and who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have a Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. In addition client requires:
* Hands-on experience with diesel engines and familiarity with emission control technologies and engine dynamometer test cells.
* Familiarity with a product development process and system engineering methodologies (e.g. design for six sigma, DFMEA (design failure mode effect analysis), design of experiments, computer aided data analysis).
A strong candidate will also have 3 or more years of aftertreatment experience, and an advanced degree in Engineering.
Client offers a complete benefits package including relocation assistance.
Client will consider visa candidates and sponsorship.
