Primary Responsibilities: (EDI – Electronic Data Interchange, GIS – Gentran Integration Suite, SI – Sterling Integrator)
(1) Provide expertise in GIS/SI flows testing, Systems Administration, activities to include general troubleshooting, system performance tuning, applying vendor-supplied patches.
(2) Map developments, Partner setups, Communication configurations, workflow or business processes development.
(3) Modification of existing maps, business process and/or setups.
(4) Production Support as required.
(5) Develop and maintain system documentation and training materials for GIS/SI system administration.
(6) Develop and test business workflows in the GIS/SI Development, QA system environments and prepare promotion tasks to the Production Environments.
(7) Perform configuration, management, and maintenance tasks for GIS/SI application.
(8) Develop, implement and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications and upgrades to GIS/SI related objects.
(9) Transactional Data management including archiving and purging, import and export of data objects, and data refreshes of Development, QA and Production environments.
(10) Lead small to medium complexity technical projects. Work with business, database and application development teams and report progress of project throughout project lifecycle.
(11) Design technical solutions, manage development of technical solutions, test plans and lead testing.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: (Below skill set is expected minimum in Gentran Integration Suite 4.1 through 4.3, good to have similar experience in 5.0)
(1) Sufficient formal and/or informal training experience in GIS System administration, maintenance, installation, configuration, tuning and programming. Training in BPML design, data translation and transformation mapping preferred.
(2) Expert level in creating Business workflows using Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) within Sterling Commerce - Gentran Integration Suite
(3) Performed installation and system tuning of Sterling Commerce - Gentran Integration Suite application on UNIX or Linux operating systems.
(4) Expert level in creating translation objects (maps) using Sterling Commerce Gentran Integration Suite versions 4.0 through 4.3 and/or 5.0 Map Editor to include EDI to XML; EDI to Application File; Application File to Application File , EDI to/from Database, XML to/from Database and rules utilizing User Exits and Java objects for Data Content Mapping desired.
(5) Performed the setup and configuration of Sterling Commerce Gentran Integration Suite database pool to Oracle, MaxDB databases.
(6) E-Commerce transactions such as Order, Order responses, Invoices, Ship Notice, Inventory or Price Catalog in XML and EDI
(7) Good understanding of Order Management, Warehouse management and Finance Management concepts.
(8) Specific knowledge of EDI ANSI X12, XML – OAGI standards
(9) Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, and maintaining GIS environments, networks, and clusters.
(10) Demonstrated experience in virtual VMware environment .
(11) Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
(12) Knowledge of database concepts or database administration desired.
(13) Experience in Unix shell scripting and FTP, SFTP, SSH, AS2, AS3, HTTP, HTTP/s protocols
